A 1 AM thought...
It has been almost two months since I got promoted as an English Coach apprentice. It feels great to be recognized yet it also comes along with much pressure. Among the 7 apprentices, I would say I'm at the bottom. The rest are really smart and witty. I even felt inferior when we had our trainings and discussions during the first four weeks. Everyone seemed to have a lot of ideas in their minds and I am just there to listen, wonder and take things all in. It felt weird most of the time. One of the coaches though wrote down these exact words in my notebook: "I know it's been a flashflood of information these past few weeks but don't let all the technicalities of classroom discussion scare you. It is more imperative that you are guided instead of dicatated... Your success is dependent mostly on your mentor." This so far was one of the nicest things one has ever told me. This, to think, came from someone who is not directly responsible of my training - one who is not my mentor.
